SPRING RETREAT - THIS WEEKEND!!

This retreat is a great chance to get away, meet new friends, grow in your faith, and take some time out for yourself and God in a peaceful and supportive setting. For people who have never been on a retreat before, this is a great way to start.

Details. This retreat will be similar to the one we did in the Fall, which everyone really liked. We will be going to the Abbey of the Genesee with the Buffalo State Newman Center (students, Bill, and Fr Pat), D'Youville College campus ministry, and the University at Buffalo Newman Center. We have two well-furnished and comfortable retreat houses for our use, with food planned by chef "Buffalo" Bill from Buff State. There will be a good mix of group activities and personal time.

Monks. There will be a chance to see Trappist monks, who make up the abbey. We will be joining them for prayer at some points. Also, Fr Jerome, a monk popular with retreatants, will visit us at some point for a chat.

Bread. The monks make their living by baking bread that they sell to grocery stores and the public. And retreatants. Their bread is highly acclaimed by anyone who has been to the abbey.

To sign up, email us the following information: name, local address, phone number, emergency contact person and their phone number, whether you can drive and how many people you can take, and any special needs (food or otherwise). You can pay when you arrive on Friday.
